Marmalade Game Studio, Days of Wonder, Asmodee Entertainment, and Twin Sails Interactive have teamed up to announce an upcoming Ticket to Ride video game for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. The game is set to launch on Steam in November 2023, with releases for other platforms scheduled for 2024. This digital adaptation promises to breathe new life into the beloved board game created by Alan R. Moon, enhancing the core gameplay with immersive graphics and high production values.
Ticket to Ride, originally published by Days of Wonder, an Asmodee studio, has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) award in 2004. With over 15 million copies sold worldwide, Ticket to Ride is considered a classic and is a must-have in any board game collection. The upcoming video game aims to introduce the beloved game to a wider audience, including those who have yet to experience it and seasoned players looking for a convenient way to play on the go.

The current version of Ticket to Ride, developed by Twin Sails, will be rebranded as “Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition” in stores where it is currently available. Notably, this version of the game will be removed from PC and mobile stores starting from October 3rd (with console editions remaining available until April 2024), and in-app purchases, such as acquiring new maps, will no longer be possible.

Current owners of “Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition” will retain access to the game in their game library, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay even after the version becomes unavailable for new downloads.
